2011 Topps Sparkle SP Checklist with Images
2011 Topps Sparkle SP Matusz and Halladay
Topps has a few surprises built into its base set every year. This year one of those surprises is the rare diamond “sparkle” SP variation. 2011 is Topps’ diamond anniversary and so they have inserted 60 cards with a special diamond “sparkle.”
These are falling about 1 or 1.5 per hobby case. They are also inserted into retail packs. I have personally pulled 4 sparkle cards: Brian Matusz, Chipper Jones, Roy Halladay, and Justin Morneau.
Some of these cards are pretty easy to spot like the Jeter and Halladay. However, some are very difficult and are very easy to miss like the Morneau and Hellickson. Read the rest of this entry
